Liturgical ministry offers many meaningful ways to serve at Mass. These ministries are essential to the life of our parish and help create a welcoming, prayerful environment for all.

What's required when serving in Ministry?
Altar Servers
Youth (grades 5-12) assist the priest during Mass.
- Registered at the parish
- Completed Safe Environment Training (SET)
- Fingerprinted (15 years old and older)
- Completed Parish Training
- Fully initiated in the Catholic faith (Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation)
- Meeting with clergy
- If married, must be married by the Catholic Church
- 5th graders and up
Readers
Proclaim the Word of God at Mass.
- Registered at the parish
- Completed Safe Environment Training (SET)
- Completed Parish Training
- Fully initiated in the Catholic faith (Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation)
- Meeting with clergy
- If married, must have been married by the Catholic Church
- At least 18 years old
Ushers
Welcome parishioners, assist during Mass, and help with collections
- Registered at the parish
- Completed Safe Environment Training (SET)
- Fingerprinted
- Completed Parish Training
- At least 18 years old
- Baptism and First Communion
AV Ministry
Operate sound and slides to support prayerful worship.
- Registered at the parish

Sacristans
Sacristans prepare and care for the church’s altar, vessels, and supplies, ensuring everything is ready for Mass and other sacraments.

Other Ministries:
Altar Linens: Care for the sacred linens used at Mass with reverence
Minister to the Sick: Bring the Eucharist and parish care to the sick, hospitalized, and homebound: training and diocesan mandate required.
Ministry of Consolation (Funerals): Assist with funeral planning and Masses.
EMHC
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion distribute the Eucharist at Mass: training and diocesan mandate required.
